Baby S update …

Hi everyone. Some of you may have noticed that I have not been around much. Sorry to disappear without advance warning - thank you to those of you who noticed and touched base with me.

Baby S goes into surgery on Tuesday. I had been hoping to take a few days off so I could go with B & C to the hospital … I just cannot manage it though. So, they leave in a few hours to drive to Gainesville, where Baby S will get admitted and get her pre-operative tests done.

I have been doing my best to relax and not stress out. Honestly, I am not doing well. I’m really worried about the surgery, about the four rounds of chemo that come afterwards, and about B & C driving out there and back. B has to make the trip a couple of times because he has to come back and take care of the other kids and work. He will definitely be with Baby S until after the surgery though.

So, I am (once again) putting this out there and asking for your goodwill … I (and, B & C) would really appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

On the upside, an old friend visited today. She’s practically family, since she is related to my best friend and, therefore, also my roommates. :) It was lovely seeing her again, and having her come by for a couple of hours. We had lunch recently, too. I have officially seen her more this year than I have in the last fifteen. How crazy is that?

    I had the surgery marked on my calendar already. I have been sending hopes and prayers up as fast as I can! Call me if you need me!!!!

    Love you ladybug … thank you. I will try to call tonight, but I’m covering over at B&C’s house, so I’ll be up to my eyeballs in kids, cub scouts, and book reports!

    Thank you so much @perpstu … I am more likely to text, and will try to do so tonight. I know I won’t be online, unless I can get B & C’s beast to cooperate. I do not have my laptop with me, unfortunately. Will definitely be blogging updates (if there are any) during the day from work, and texting them at night. Love you :)
