Baby S - And the Surgery Begins

Posted by: Devyl Gyrl

Today is the biggest day in Baby S’s life so far - and she’s had some pretty big ones, the poor thing. She was wheeled into the operating room a few moments ago.

Her surgery will consist of removing the outer half of the right side of her life. Thank goodness the chemotherapy she has been subjected to for most of her very young life (just 4.5 months, ya’ll) worked. The tumor shrank by nearly half, so they are predicting they will be able to preserve the inner half of the right side of her liver as well as the whole left half of her liver. This is far better than the outlook a couple of months ago.

So now, I sit and wait. I will receive text updates from C whenever the doctors send updates out to her and B in the waiting room. I want nothing more than to be with my best friend right now, holding her hand and comforting her and her husband as they wait to find out if their baby girl will wake up after surgery.

Thank you for all of your light, love, and prayers as Baby S continues to live through her own personal nightmare. Whenever I picture her in my mind, it is with that full-face smile she gives whenever anyone looks at her, talks to her, or even moves towards her from across the room. She’s such a happy baby. I cannot wait to hold her again!

xoxo

You can do it Baby S. Here’s some love for you on your journey.

The Psalmist declared in Psalms 30:2 O Lord, I cried unto you, and thou have healed me. Cry out to Him in faith knowing that it your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom, and your bread, the children’s bread.
