Baby S: Another day, another cycle

Author: Devyl Gyrl / Category: Baby S

So, yet another day has gone by, and Baby S has completed a full cycle of ups and downs. Earlier today she was *really* sick. The doctors were worried about her, and she had to stay in PICU, despite all attempts and hopes to move her to a “normal” room.

However, she is now on the correct antibiotics for her bladder infection. The problem is, her temperatures keep spiking, so she still has to remain in the hospital. C is very upset: she misses her other three kids that live at home with her, and misses being able to talk to her soon (who lives with his Dad in another state). She knows she’s where she needs to be right now, but it is *really* hard being so far away from everyone else. And this time, I cannot even pop in to bring her a Wendy’s sweet tea or a frosty or french fries or brownies … *sigh*

Anyway. Baby S is doing better now. The antibiotics are working. Just the fevers are reoccurant, therefore, no moving to a “normal” room … and no moving home.

One especially good thing to share though:

Baby S: Another Fever

From C: “Cancel the party. Fever spiked to 101.4 again. Possible UTI. Sharing a room with a 4-month old named Jade. She needs a heart transplant. Please add her to ALL prayer lists!”

If you have room in your heart, please pray for Jade along with Baby S. It is heartbreaking to see such a young baby struggle so much. Poor Baby S cannot catch a break. Apparently, she is going to have to fight for every single inch of goodness in her life.

**Update: (11:45am): From C: “Urine is showing some activity, but not enough to diagnos. Will send more info as they give it to me.”

Baby S: Another high …. please, lows, stay away!

Last night, about 1 am (EST), Baby S’s fevers finally broke. She is resting comfortably this morning, thank goodness.
The best part of this morning’s update? If her fever STAYS down, she will be coming home tomorrow. WOOT!

I cannot wait to go see her on Sunday, hold her hand, kiss her toes, and hopefully … see her smile.

C made a point of thanking all of you for your thoughts and prayers. She’s grateful to everyone who takes the time to think of Baby S, to offer some mental/emotional/spritual support.

I already know how wonderful all of you are … but she is learning.

Thank you!

xoxo
