NaNoW…w..w….who? (NaBloPoMo post #7)
Posted by: Devyl GyrlOkay. I had every intention of spending the month writing for NaNoWriMo … I did *not* expect Tween to get sick, be home and miserable all day, and achy and miserable all night. I also did *not* expect to be getting a visitor. Nor, did I expect for my ideas to go floating out of my head like yesterday’s to-do list.
So, I have failed, already. I have written not one single word for NaNoWriMo … so it looks like I’ll have to try again NEXT year.
*hangs head*

I hope Tween is feeling better, and you didn’t fail, you just postponed.

There is no failure, who says you have to start on the 1st? It is 30 days of writing, so pick a day and begin!! I free you from the time constraint of NaNoWriMo… make it be yours and embrace it!
OMG, I just saw my blog on your blog roll… I am humbled and off to do the dance of joy!!

A couple of years ago I tried NaNoWriMo, went gangbusters for about 3,000 words, then realized that I could not salvage my plot. I agonized and schemed for days, then gave up.
This year I tried again, with a completely different plot. And, once again, I could find no way to realize the basics of my plot and still have the result be believable enough to be interesting. So, once again, I quit.
Believe me when I say that I feel your pain. Hugs!
