Quello’s “Q” Queue (#68/365)

Author: Devyl Gyrl / Category: Blog365, Friends / Family, Goodness

One day, my sweet friend Princess Q requested we all submit our favorite “O” words. Little did I know this quest would lead to a blog list of HER favorites! In the spirit of the game, she offered to assign a piece of the Alphabet Pie to anyone who made a request in her comments.

I, of course, complied! And, in turn, so did she.

The letter the lovely Princess Q assigned: Q, of course!

Q Quantified:
1. Quibble ~ I quibble with a few of my favorite people just to keep them on their toes! (;) you know who you are!)
2. Quality ~ Quizzically, too many people seek quantity over quality when experiencing life.
3. Quiver ~ I purrr just thinking of quivering … volunteers to make this happen, quickly?
4. Quirky ~ Why surround yourself with the “norm” when quirkiness is abound?
5. Quaint ~ Not many people have an admiration for quaint, but I do. Quaint beats out modern any day!
6. Quiet ~ Something I do not have nearly enough of anymore. Soon, I hope. **prays fervently**
7. Quilt ~ Who does not love a comfy quilt!?! My favorite quilt was passed on to me by my stepmother, and I then passed it on to my BFF because she is always cold. I still get to use it when I spend the night at her house (which I do often), so this is not a loss for me!
8. Queasy ~ So much more descriptive than “nauseous” or “sick!”
9. Quarrelsome ~ I use this word quite often, because the children like to bicker and quarrel amongst themselves. Besides, “quarrelsome” is so much more fun than “argumentative” or “snappish!”
10. Quiescently ~ This word actually makes me sad, because it invokes memories of my stepmother and aunt’s deathbeds and my brother’s corpse prior to his cremation. But it is a quaint and quirky way to quickly remind myself that their deaths ended their pain, ill health, and misery.

Q Quickies:
Quell, quip, quesadilla, quasi, query, quintessence, quack, quiche, queen, quadrangle, quaff, quarantine, quartet, and quote also came quickly to mind when I began my quest for my quid of Q.

I love how I thought I would not find even half of what I needed to complete this list, but once I started thinking of “Q” words, I realized that some of my favorite words begin with the letter “Q!”

Now, do you want your own dish of alphabet soup? If so, leave me a comment requesting a letter, and I shall comply with your assignment!

xoxo
